Job Description:
We are looking for an entrepreneurial Training Coordinator to take full ownership of our women’s empowerment project in Lahan and transform it into a scalable, self-sustaining eco-craft business using banana and bamboo fibers.
What You Will Do
- Take Full Ownership: Lead the end-to-end execution of the project, from daily operations to community mobilization and stakeholder management.
- Deliver Training: Provide hands-on training to marginalized women on extracting, processing, and crafting high-quality products from banana and bamboo fibers.
- Build the Business: Design and execute a profitable business model to transition this grant-funded project into a scalable, revenue-generating enterprise.
- Create Market Linkages: Establish reliable supply chains and connect locally crafted products to regional and national markets.
What You Bring
- Fiber Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of banana and bamboo fiber processing.
- Entrepreneurial Drive: Proven ability to build business models, optimize production, and scale an enterprise.
- Training Experience: Strong skills in facilitating hands-on training for grassroots communities.
- Local Networks: Deep roots and strong professional connections in Lahan/Siraha. Fluency in local languages like Maithili – Local Network is a strong plus
